The general councilor of the Order of Augustinian Recollects and president of the EDUCAR Network, Fray Antonio Carrón de la Torre, received a warm welcome at the Colegio Agustiniano Suba in Colombia. This opportunity served to reinforce what was experienced at the last EDUCAR Meeting in Guatemala.
The visit deeply enriched the directors and teachers of the educational center, allowing them to clarify their doubts and promote new strategies based on the latest materials presented at the VII EDUCAR Meeting. The implementation and awareness of the Institutional Educational Project of the Order, the Augustinian pedagogical bases, the Dictionary of Competencies and the application to the MELIOR certification of excellence were shared.
Likewise, it was a nice opportunity for Colegio Agustiniano Suba (CAS) to share its institutional pedagogical project and commitment to the culture of good treatment. The CAS deeply lives the Augustinian Recollect values in its daily life. This is reflected in the methodological proposal implemented since 2019 called "Hippona 25", whose goal is to develop the potential of its students to enrich them in four fundamental components: interiority, search for truth, uniqueness and connecting with reality.
During the visit, Fray Antonio Carrón was able to tour the school facilities and share the rich culture of Colombia with students, teachers, friars and staff of the institution. During this visit, he took the opportunity to personally award the prize to Anderson Fabián Peña Hernández, winner of the Artistic Creation contest, category "C" of photography.
