Last Friday, November 8, the EDUCAR Venezuela Network held the II Augustinian Intercollegiate Pedagogical Meeting, bringing together more than 270 teachers from the five schools that the Provincial Vicariate of Venezuela has in Caracas: the Fray Luis de León School, the San Judas School Tadeo, Colegio Agustiniano Cristo Rey, Colegio San Carlos Borromeo and Colegio Santo Tomás de Villanueva, which on this occasion hosted the event.
The day was guided by Katerine Nunes, director of the Great Geniuses Educational Growth team, who, together with her collaborators, guided the reflection on curricular adaptations for neurodiversity. This topic, of great relevance in the current educational context, has a profound impact in classrooms, from initial education levels to general secondary education. Teachers explored strategies to recognize and value students' neurological diversity, promoting inclusive and empathetic learning environments.
The meeting took place in an environment of listening, reflection and commitment, highlighting the importance of adapting pedagogy to the needs of each student and promoting inclusion as a fundamental pillar of Augustinian education. The participants committed to continue advancing in the formation of more inclusive educational communities, where each child and young person can develop their full potential, regardless of their differences.
With initiatives like these, our EDUCAR Network (Agustino Recoleta International Educational Network) reaffirms its commitment to a transformative education, which not only imparts academic knowledge, but also cultivates values of respect and solidarity, fundamental for the construction of a more just and equitable.
