This March 5th marks the beginning of Lent, a forty-day period of spiritual preparation leading up to Easter, which begins on Ash Wednesday and culminates before the Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday. This season symbolizes the forty days Jesus spent in the desert, facing temptations and preparing for his public mission.

During Lent, we are called to conversion and to strengthen our faith through practices such as prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. These acts seek to renew our spirit and draw us closer to God, reminding us of our human condition and the need for repentance.
In our educational centers in the EDUCAR Network, it is essential to integrate the Lenten spirit into our students' education. Some initiatives we can implement include:
Spaces for Reflection and Prayer: Organizing daily or weekly moments dedicated to prayer and meditation, encouraging introspection and dialogue with God in students.
Solidarity Activities: Such as the promotion of our ARCORES Solidarity Heart Campaign 25/26, showing our students social commitment and love for their neighbors.
Values Education: Promoting the active experience of our Augustinian Recollect values, as well as humility and charity, core values of Lent.
Liturgical Celebrations: Active participation in the ceremonies of this season, such as Ash Wednesday and the Stations of the Cross, to live the faith and traditions of our Church in community.
Likewise, our Augustinian Recollect Order has proposed a series of videos on social media that, until Pentecost, will help reflect on the Gospels and the message of Lent. Each reflection will be framed, not only by the season of Lent, but also by the Papal Bull of the Jubilee 2025, in which Pope Francis emphasizes the need to forgive and open our hearts to our neighbors.
Experience Lent in our educational centers is an opportunity to strengthen the Christian identity of our students and prepare them comprehensively, not only academically but also in their spiritual and moral development.
