The visit of the OAR Prior General to our schools in Colombia

The OAR Prior General, Fr. Miguel Ángel Hernández, since his arrival on February 8th in Colombia, has been warmly welcomed and eagerly anticipated at each location. Among his itinerary highlights are meetings with religious communities, diaconal ordinations, pastoral visits, and of course, visits to our Augustinian Recollect schools.

His journey began in Bogotá. During the first three days, Fr. Miguel Ángel visited the Community of the Agustiniano Ciudad Salitre School, La Candelaria center. The cities of Pasto, Cali, and Palmira were the next destinations; there he visited the Agustiniano Campestre School. On February 14th, he inaugurated the Lenten season with the educational community of the Agustiniano de Palmira School. There, he celebrated Ash Wednesday Mass with the center's students. Later, he also visited students, teaching staff, administrative and service personnel of the Agustiniano Suba School and the Agustinian University Residence (Suba Campus) in Bogotá.

In his own words, Fr. Miguel Ángel Hernández highlights that this fraternal visit to Colombia is proving to be a truly enriching experience. I have witnessed the fervor and dedication of the Augustinian Recollect religious and laity in this beautiful country. I feel deeply grateful for the welcome received and for the opportunity to share life and faith with so many wonderful people. May God continue to bless and strengthen the work of the Augustinian Recollects in Colombia.
